As General Manager, Electricity Networks at Jemena, Andrew oversees a team of senior professionals to develop and deliver market, product, commercial, customer strategies and growth opportunities for Jemena’s regulated and unregulated electricity network business.
Prior to joining Jemena in March 2017, Andrew worked with the Retail division of Shell Oil Products International for over 15 years in a variety of senior roles across over 25 locations globally. As General Manager Retail for Viva Energy, Andrew led the company’s largest division and the customer face of the Shell brand in Australia; accounting for 25% market share of total Australian retail fuel volume. There, he provided high level strategic leadership to deliver 63 new retail sites, double digit EBIT growth year on year, and also increased employee engagement scores by 40 points.
Other highlights from his time with Shell include the creation and deployment of Shell’s Retail Global Sustainability Strategy, which has seen almost $900m committed in both voluntary social and business investment since 2010. This included him working with Shell Hong Kong on becoming the first retail network globally being issued Carbon Trust UK accreditation for reducing kWh consumption and tCO2e emissions by 20%.
Andrew holds a Masters in Marketing from Monash University and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Law from the University of Tasmania. He has also completed several post graduate leadership and strategy courses from the Melbourne Business School. Andrew is also an Alumni for the Committee for Melbourne’s Future Focus Group.
